J. Cole
So J. Cole is in London playing at the Hammersmith Apollo (now known
as the Eventim Apollo, but I prefer Hammersmith). So I have been to my fair
share of concerts (this is the fourth time I’ve seen Cole and he gets better
every fucking time) and my friends all know that I absolutely hate standing. I
mean, there is no reason to stand. Fair enough there’s like a tiny bit more
hype, but really, standing is the biggest pain ever. So last night I went to
the first of his 3 London shows and let me tell you now, it was absolutely
amazing. Cole was outstanding as always.
Like I said, I’ve been to see this guy 4 times in the past 2
years. I think that’s pretty good if I say so myself. Unfortunately I did not
take any pictures, but there are a couple good videos on YouTube if you want to
check it out. Cole was energetic as always and put on quite the show. From his
small monologue to the fucking hilarious skit he did on stage with Bas, the
show was truly one I won’t forget. Tim Westwood played an absolutely killer set
to get the crowd going and Bas took over from there. Once the crowd were fully
hyped, J. Cole took the stage and tore the house down. Take a look...
J. Cole was in the headlines for one other thing last week.
What was that gain? Oh yeah! That fucking ‘TKO Black Friday Remix’. Oh shit is
about to pop off now. J. Cole has finally come to Kendrick on that Control
verse he thought he got away back in summer. Fuck man, did you hear what Cole
had to say? “Decisions, decisions/In case
this is war, then I load up on all ammunition/If a nigga want problems, my
trigger’s on auto/I’ll make sure that nobody miss him.” Man, Kendrick better understand it’s a
Cole world out there.

Elliott
Wilson’s CRWN – R. Kelly
So Elliott Wilson has got his next contestant ready to face the
crowd of CRWN. I am really looking forward to this one. I think that Mr. Wilson
has got something great going on with this interview thing. It’s amazing how
many people care so much about what is running through an artist’s mind. I
mean, these people pay to sit and listen to an artist that doesn’t even
perform. But honestly, I don’t think that anyone other than Elliott would be
able to do it. He truly is the GOAT of hip hop journalism with the way he just
brings someone’s character out.But when it was announced earlier today, I was shocked with
some of the backlash twitter through back at him. I mean, why are you upset
that he got an absolute legend on CRWN? I didn’t think it’d be possible. Guys,
hold off on Kanye and Em for now. Kellz is making a comeback and you do not
want to be the one that misses it.
